Do I Trust Him?

Trust Me are the words that I was given this New Year. Spending New Years Eve just seeking Him and His will as I continue to follow Him. Trust Me is the answer I got. Trust ?? I thought... Don't I already trust you…but each day He continues to remind me just to trust and follow Him and He will do the rest.

He says The impossibility of our situation means nothing to Him. He delights in bringing answers when all we see are obstacles. Some of His best work happens when there is no time, no money, and no hope. When things are impossible to us they are made possible through Him.

~ He tells us not to expect an easy path as we journey with Him but that He will never leave us.

~ He is able to do far beyond what we ask or ever imagine.

True dependence and trust is not asking Him to bless what we have decided to do. But to come to Him with an open mind and allow Him to plant inside us whatever He has for us. At the time, it can seem so far out of what we can ever imagine. But that’s where trust comes into our lives and we all get to experience the work of God in a way that we can’t humanly explain.

I just wanted to share with you guys what's been going on in my heart as this New Year has begun. I pray that this New Year brings many blessings for each of you.

Until next time!

My Plans..........

                                                              Or God's Plans:

It looks like what I had thought was going to be a 9 week trip to Uganda has turned into a 5 or 6 month trip. It's just been a life changing experience to see and feel God working in and through me.

From the start of this trip it did not go how I had originally planned. I had planned to leave at the beginning of January and stay here for 2 months. But God had other plans, and his plans have definately made my faith stronger. I did not end up arriving here in Uganda until February 26th. Almost 2 months after I had planned to come. But if I had come on my timing instead of God's I wouldn't have been here for what He had for me.

About a month ago I met a little girl named Grace and her Dad. I am constantly meeting new people but this time something was different.

This little girl wasn't just another baby that I felt bad for and wished there was more I could do. I just didn't know at the time why I felt this way.

There was something about her that I couldn't get out of my mind. No matter how hard I tried to. I finally realized that there was a reason that I was feeling this way. God had put this inside of me for His purpose.

So I started praying for Grace and for God to show me why I felt this way.

God always has a perfect plan and He proved that to me yet again, when a couple from the States started the process to adopt her but they needed someone to take care of this precious little life.

We are currently praying about how long I should extend my ticket for. So I would like to ask that all of you just pray that God will continue leading us as we continue this process.

Thank you for taking the time to read what has been going on in my life while I am here!! Love to you all!

God has a plan...

even when we can't see it

I'm so sorry that I haven't posted lately. Lets just say life has been a little crazy around here. I came across this picture earlier this week and just wanted to share it! This definitely goes right along with what has been happening this week. It is never fun when things aren't going the way we want them to, or we think they should be. But God's plan is always better than ours and I will trust him when it's easy, and when its hard.

On a brighter note we are having a great weekend with family. They will be here until the end of next week and we are enjoying every second with them!!

~God Bless! Enjoy your weekend!!!

Arms Wide Open

This song has just really touched me in the last couple days, I love the words. This has been my prayer to God lately. My life is His not my own. It is so easy to say that I give it all to him but to actually do it is the hard part. I want to have a say in what happens, I want to be able to know what the next couple years of my life is going to be like. But I have to give it to God and trust him to lead me where I am supposed to go.

Take my life I lay it down
At the cross where I am found
All I have I give to You oh God

Take my hands and make them clean
Keep my heart in purity
That I may walk in all You have for me

Oh here I stand
Arms open wide
Oh I am Yours
And You are mine

Take my moments and my days
Let each breath that I take
Be ever only for You oh God

Oh here I stand
Arms open wide
Oh I am Yours
And You are mine

My whole life is Yours
I give it all
Surrendered to Your Name
And forever I will pray
Have Your way
Have Your way

Oh here I stand
Arms open wide
Oh I am Yours
And You are mine
