Daybook

So here is my first post we'll see how it goes hope you enjoy!!

- Outside my window: It is dark and quite with some beautiful sparkling stars. No moon is able to be seen but it is a beautiful night that God has made!!

- I am thinking: Just how blessed I am. I have been reading different blogs on Uganda lately and it has just really opened my eyes to how blessed, and may I say spoiled some of us are. We all have been through tough and hard times that we think were just horrible and yes they were bad, but there are so many people who have been through things so much worse then we have been through. I am not trying to tell you that what you have gone through is not important but don't sit around feeling sorry for yourself. There is always a reason we have gone through what we go through even though we might not see it now. I mean I have been through some hard times but there are so many girls that would give anything to have the life I have and to be able to have the things I have. My whole life I have always known I would have a roof over my head and a bed for me to sleep on. I have always had heat when it was cold I never was stuck out for nights freezing. I have always had clothes to wear and food to eat and if I did miss a meal there was always food that I could sneak and eat if I wanted. So yeah I haven't had the perfect life but who has? I need to think about what I do have and what God has blessed me with not what I don't have. So I guess that's what I have really been thinking about lately.

- I am thankful: I am so thankful for my family. I have amazing parents, 8 brothers and 3 sisters. I am very blessed with an amazing group of people to call my family.

- In the kitchen: It is cleaned up from our amazing dinner of Alice Spring chicken, Scalloped potatoes and salad.

- I am creating: This blog it is my first post so hopefully its good!!

- I am going: To try to get more school done this week and to spend more time playing and practicing guitar. Which is one of my favorite things to do but the thing I always push off as not important compared to the other things I could be doing.

- I am wondering: What this year holds for me and where God will take me. It is exciting and a little scary but I am really looking forward to what will happen in 2013, it has been a great year so far!!

- I am reading: The Power of a Praying Teen. It has been an amazing book. But unfortunately I only have a couple more chapters and I will be done with it. So we will see what my next book will be!

- I am hoping: To start doing some fundraising this week for a mission trip to Uganda that I plan to go on sometime this year.

- I am looking forward to: What will happen in the next couple months. Just to see where God takes me and my whole family.

- Around the house: Dad and the older boys are watching their guys show back in the bedroom while us girls sit here in the living room watching our show while we get stuff done for the week. The littlest ones are tucked in their comfy warm beds!

- I am pondering: Just how truly blessed we are. We can open our Bibles and read and spend time with God anytime we want. Yet sometimes we are lazy and get too caught up in ourselves to actually take the time we should to spend with him. God sent his son to die on the cross for MY sins but yet we only give God a little bit of our time. The Bible says that we are to pray with out ceasing. Yeah we have stuff that we have to do. But we can't limit our time with him to only when we are doing devotions. He sees everything we do he is with us everywhere we go. We can spend time with him anywhere we are and anytime we want.

- A favorite quote for today: Pray that God will open then doors that you can't open and close the doors that need to be closed. By Joyce Meyers. I guess I love this because it is perfect for what I have been praying about lately. I can't do it on my own. If I am suppose to go then God will open the doors that need to be opened and if I'm not then he will close the doors because there is no way I can on my own.

- One of my favorite things: This one is hard I love doing so many different things.  I would say it is in between playing music which is just so calming and enjoyable to me. Or spending time with my amazing mom. Even if it is just sitting together working on stuff after everyone else head to bed.

- A few plans for this week: Do school of course. Take each day that God gives me and live it to the fullest.

- A peek into my day: Today we were able to spend time at home together as a family. We watched church online this morning. It was about faith and how each one of us Christians are commanded to live by faith. He gave us four different Bible verse references that command us to live by faith.
We also started a Bible study by Frances Chan called Crazy Love it seems like it is going to be an amazing book. We were able to spend time as a family laugh and enjoy each other. It was just an awesome day!

I heard of the daybook from my mom and it was a great way for me to be able to start my blog. I hope you enjoyed it. Hope to post again. But until then.
Blessings! Morgan
