Meet The Kids...

I wish each of you could meet these little people who God has used to change my life forever. Because of meeting them it opened the door for God to show me part of His plan for my life. I know this is just the beginning. And it's not been easy but He never promised us that it would be. He only promised that He wouldn't leave us. I know that it will not be possible for all of you to meet them in person. So I wanted to write a little bit about each one of them so that you guys can get to know them a little bit more.

Odrine:
Is 11 years old. I don’t know when his exact birthday is due to the fact that no one has been able to find his name card (birth certificate). He is a normal loud 11 year old boy. He loves to play outside, watch movies, run around, play football (soccer), build toy guns out of his baby sisters big duplo blocks, go swimming, and be noisy. At the same time he also has a tender heart especially towards his baby sister who is two. He loves sitting down and playing with her just as much as he loves running around with his two other siblings. He is currently studying in P3 so he’s behind in school because his family has not always had the money to pay for him to go. His report from this last term was good so he is working hard and performing well at school.

Namale:
Is a precious 9 year old girl. Being in the middle of two brothers also loves to join in on whatever her brothers are playing. But she also lovess doing the girly things. She loves it when I sit down and spend time talking to her, and/or painting her nails. She loves taking photos, coloring and drawing, and most anything any regular 9 year old girl loves doing. She is at the age where she seems to crave that bond that a Mom and daughter have. I know at any age girls need that bond and support from their Mom but I see that need in Namale everytime I see her. And it just breaks my heart everytime I have to say by. I know all the kids don’t ever want to say bye but I know how much she really hates it. She is also in P3 and is working hard just like her brother.

Eddie:
Is 8 years old. He has a very sweet disposition. But he is also a jokester. He loves to make people laugh and have a great time. When his siblings get into normal sibling squabbles he is the one who tries to make peace. I haven’t been able to spend as much time with him as I have the his two older siblings due to the fact that I just found out about him 6 weeks ago. But the time I have been able to spend with him has been great!! Eddie studies in P2 just a year behind his two older siblings and is also
performing well.

All three of them just finished their Holiday season and started school again about a month ago. I was able to pay for their school fees and do their school shopping. This gives them a chance to be in school while I continue the process of starting this home.

If you would like to financially help support this home that would be such a blessing to me and all of these precious lives. You can either give a one-time donation or you can commit to giving something monthly. Any amount you can give will be such a blessing no amount is too small. Just think of these little lives that you will be able to be a part of changing forever. I send out an update email every two weeks to people who are supporting this. If you would like to be added onto this list please email me at: morgankjeffries@gmail.com thank you!!

Also, if you would like to commit to sponsoring one of the children here and paying just for their needs that would be a great way to help. If you would like to do that just email me at morgankjeffries@gmail.com or contact me on facebook. And I will give you the details on what is needed. If you would like to do that. I will send monthly reports on how that specific child is doing as well as photos that way you and your family can see what a great difference you are making in their life by supporting them.

To donate you can either send the money through GoFundMe  http://www.gofundme.com/ewnm9g

Or you can donate through Next Generation Ministries (it's tax deductible) http://nextgenministries.blogspot.com/p/who-we-are.html (please make sure to note that it's for Morgan Jeffries) thanks!!!

Daybook

~ Outside my window: It is very dark, cold, and windy. There are no stars to be seen in the sky tonight.

~  I am thinking: How exciting it is to see my mission trip finally coming together. I can't believe its almost been a year since I first started talking about going to Uganda. God has brought it all together and I can't wait to go, and see what He has in store for me there!

~ In the kitchen: It is quiet and clean until morning!

~ I am wearing: My comfy black sweat pants and a t-shirt.

~ I am creating: Some beanies, scarves, and baby hats to help raise money for my mission trip.

~ I am wondering: What 2014 has in store. I can't believe how fast 2013 has gone past.

~ I am hoping: To get most of my Christmas presents done this week.

~ I am learning: To try not to rush things. God's timing is so much better then my own.

~ Around the house: The fire is quietly burning down, while mom and I sit on the couch relaxing.

One of my favorite things: Spending time with my amazing family. I don't know what I would do without all have my crazy siblings.
~ A favorite quote for today:
 Do What You Can,
Where You Are,
With What You Have.

Daybook

It's been a while since I've done one of these. So I thought it would be fun to do one tonight!
~ Outside my window: It is dark and quite!
~ I am thinking: About all the different ways I need to start fundraising for my trip to Uganda, that I will be going on this coming January.
~ I am thankful: For just everything God has blessed me with!
~ In the kitchen: It is sparkling clean except for the few dishes in the sink that I used to make Mom and me a milkshake!
~ I am wearing: My favorite type of clothing jeans and a black t-shirt! The only thing that would make the outfit better is a pair of my converse!
~ I am creating: A list of things that I need to get done for my mission trip. That way every night I can work on one thing at a time and check it off my list when I'm done, and not feel overwhelmed by all the things that I need to get done swirling through my head.
~ I am going: Shopping with the family tomorrow. Dad took the day off so we have planned a day of fun lego shopping for the kids! They all have already planned which legos they want to get.
~ I am wondering: How soon Dad will be able to start his new job. He is so looking forward to having normal hours!
~ I am reading: Twilight I started the series a while ago but never finished it. But I've been in a reading mood lately and so I started the series again and have really been enjoying it.
~ I am hoping: To get my support letters sent out to family and friends by next week.
~ I am looking forward to: My mission trip that I am going on in January. I cannot believe it is only four months away!
~ I am learning: That not everything will go how I've planned it out in my head.
~ Around the house: It is quite Mom and I are the only once up enjoying our chill time. While everyone else is snuggled peacefully in their beds hopefully having peaceful dreams!  The only noise is the sound of the new TV show that we started.
~ I am pondering: Just how much I have been blessed. Yes my life has not always been perfect. I have lived through hard times. But who hasn't? Everyone has a story. But there are millions of girls who would give anything to have the life I've had.
~ A favorite quote for today: God doesn't call us to be comfortable. He calls us to trust him so completely that we are unafraid to to put ourselves in situations where we will be in trouble if He doesn't come through. ~ Francis Chan
~ One of my favorite things: Family time! I love how it is almost never quiet around our house of 11 people! I don't know what I would do without them.
~ A few plans for the rest of the week: Well this week is almost over. But tomorrow, well I guess later today since it is 4:00 AM we are planning on a family day. Saturday we are having a stay at home day and maybe pressure washing the house. Which it desperately needs.

Hope you enjoyed it!

First Fundraiser:

Today was my first fundraiser for my trip to Uganda. I can't believe it is already 4 months away! I know it will be here before I know it.  The fundraiser didn't go as I thought it would, but it was a good reminder that it's not always easy. Satan will try to discourage you from what God wants. I will not let that happen. God's plans are better then mine and I will just trust that today went just as it was supposed to.
